Veo 3.1 Cost Calculator

An 8-second Veo 3.1 Fast video at 1080p with audio costs 10 credits on imaginary.app (about $2.13–$2.50), against about $0.96 at Google Cloud's list price. Use the calculator below for any model, resolution, length and number of videos.

Key takeaways

  • One credit costs between $0.21 (Studio) and $0.25 (Basic Pack), so every price here is shown as a range.
  • Google Cloud's list price is lower per clip than ours — we show it next to every result. What you pay us for is skipping the Cloud setup, buying small one-time packs, and refunds on failed generations.
  • Silent clips cost fewer credits with us and less on Google Cloud; on Fast and Quality, 720p and 1080p cost the same credits here.
  • Google Flow retires Veo 3.1 Fast and Quality on December 5, 2026; after that, Flow's Fast and Quality prices no longer apply.

Know the cost before you generate

Credits are shown before every generation and returned automatically if it fails. Packs start at $9.99, one time.

Estimate from Google Cloud's list price, which Google gives per “count”; we read a count as one second, as resellers bill it. It is lower than our price: ours is about 2.2–2.6× this. Using it directly needs a Google Cloud project, billing and API setup; the estimate excludes discounts and any other charges on your account.

Google Flow (consumer app)

20 Flow credits per video (10 on Google AI Ultra) — 200 credits for 10 videos, worth about $4.00 if you use every credit of a Google AI Pro plan.

Smallest Google AI plan whose monthly credits cover 10 videos a month: Google AI Plus ($4.99/month, 200 credits).

Free accounts get 50 Flow credits per day.

Flow generates at 720p and offers an upscale to 1080p.

Veo 3.1 Fast leaves Flow on December 5, 2026. After that date this option is gone from Flow; it stays available on imaginary.app and on Google Cloud.

What a credit costs on each plan

A credit buys the same generation on every plan; only the price per credit changes. One-time packs have no renewal. Subscription credits refresh each billing cycle and may not roll over (see our Terms of Service). Full details are on the pricing page.

Google Flow credits, and what changes on December 5, 2026

Flow, Google's consumer video app, charges Flow credits per video. Subscribers on Google AI Ultra pay a lower rate for Lite and Fast. Fast and Quality leave Flow on December 5, 2026; Lite stays. Our Flow retirement guide covers what to do before then.

Model in FlowCredits per videoOn Google AI UltraValue at Google AI Pro rateStatus

Veo 3.1 Fast2010$0.40Retires December 5, 2026
Veo 3.1 Quality100100$2.00Retires December 5, 2026

The "value at Google AI Pro rate" column assumes you use every one of the 1,000 monthly credits that come with Google AI Pro at $19.99 a month. Monthly credits don't roll over, so if you use fewer, each video costs more. Free accounts get 50 credits a day. On that basis Flow is cheaper per video than imaginary.app for anyone who uses most of a plan every month — if that is you, and you can live with Lite or Google's newer Omni Flash models after December 5, 2026, Flow is the better deal.

How we calculate these numbers

  • Our credits come from the same pricing catalog the generator and the API use. You see the credit cost before you generate, and credits are returned automatically if a generation fails.
  • Our USD range multiplies credits by the lowest and highest price per credit across our plans. What you actually pay depends on the plan you buy.
  • Google Cloud list price is the per-unit rate on Google's generative AI pricing page multiplied by clip length. Google labels the Veo unit as a "count" without defining it; we treat it as one second of output, which is how per-second Veo pricing is quoted elsewhere. Google's Veo 3.1 model page lists provisioned throughput and fixed quota as the supported ways to buy and marks pay-as-you-go as not supported, so check with Google which terms apply to your project. Savings plans and committed-use discounts are not included.
  • 4K on Veo 3.1 Fast: we offer it and Google's price list includes it, but Google's model documentation is inconsistent about whether Fast outputs 4K. Treat the Fast 4K Google figure as indicative.
  • Flow credits come from Google's Flow help page. The USD value is our own arithmetic at the Google AI Pro rate, not a price Google quotes.

When we are the right choice, and when we are not

Go direct to Google Cloud if you already have a Cloud project with billing and Veo quota, generate in volume, and can handle the API yourself. For an 8-second Lite clip at 720p with audio, the list estimate is about $0.40 versus $0.64–$0.75 here, and the gap is similar or wider on the other models. Our Gemini API shutdown guide walks through the Cloud route.

Use imaginary.app if you make only a few videos and don't want a subscription (the $9.99 Basic Pack is a one-time 40 credits, enough for 4 clips of 8-second 1080p Fast with audio or 1 clip on Quality), want Veo 3.1 Fast or Quality after they leave Flow, or want a single API key without setting up Google Cloud. You can start in the generator or read the API documentation. For a longer write-up of the trade-offs, see our Veo 3.1 pricing comparison.

Frequently asked questions

How much does one Veo 3.1 video cost?

It depends on the model, resolution, length and audio. On imaginary.app, an 8-second Veo 3.1 Fast video at 1080p with audio is 10 credits (about $2.13–$2.50); Veo 3.1 Quality at the same settings is 26 credits (about $5.55–$6.49); Veo 3.1 Lite at 720p with audio is 3 credits (about $0.64–$0.75).

Is it cheaper to use Google Cloud directly?

Per clip, yes. At Google Cloud list prices the same 8-second Fast 1080p clip with audio is about $0.96 and the Quality clip about $3.20. You pay more with us in exchange for no Cloud project, billing account or API setup, one-time packs from $9.99, and automatic credit refunds when a generation fails.

Does turning off audio save credits?

Yes. Silent clips cost fewer credits on every model. For example, an 8-second Quality clip at 1080p is 13 credits silent versus 26 with audio. Google's list price for Quality also halves without audio at 720p and 1080p.

Do 720p and 1080p cost the same?

On imaginary.app, Veo 3.1 Fast and Quality cost the same credits at 720p and 1080p. Lite costs more at 1080p than at 720p. On Google Cloud, Fast and Lite are listed at a higher per-second price for 1080p.

What happens to Flow credit prices after December 5, 2026?

Google Flow retires Veo 3.1 Fast and Veo 3.1 Quality on December 5, 2026, so those Flow prices stop applying. Veo 3.1 Lite stays in Flow. Both models remain available on imaginary.app and on Google Cloud.

How we checked: our prices come from our pricing catalog (version 2026-08-17.1); Google Cloud and Flow figures were read from the Google pages below on the date shown.
