About imaginary.app

What we do

We give people access to Google’s Veo 3.1 video models without needing a Google Cloud project, billing account or service account of their own. You type a prompt (or upload a starting image), choose a model and a few settings, and get back an MP4. Developers can do the same thing over a REST API with one key.

• Three models: Veo 3.1 Lite, Veo 3.1 Fast, Veo 3.1 (Quality). We call Google Cloud’s model versions (Veo 3.1 and Veo 3.1 Fast are generally available there; Veo 3.1 Lite is in Preview), so they were not affected when Google shut down the Gemini API preview versions on October 22, 2026. Our model overview compares them.
• Settings: text-to-video, image-to-video and first-and-last-frame; 16:9 or 9:16; clips of 4, 6 or 8 seconds; 720p or 1080p on every model and 4K on Fast and Quality; sound on or off.
• Web app: the generator, your history in My Creations, and an optional public gallery.
• Developer API: keys start with veo_; you submit a job and poll for the result. The API docs list the endpoints.

imaginary.app was previously called VEO3Gen (veo3gen.app)

On October 21, 2026 we renamed VEO3Gen to imaginary.app and moved the website from veo3gen.app to www.imaginary.app. The service itself did not change: same app, same models, same prices, same accounts.

If you see “VEO3Gen” on an old invoice, video link or forum post, it refers to this service. If something from before the move doesn’t work, email hi@imaginary.app and tell us the old link.

How payment and refunds work

Everything is priced in credits. You buy a one-time pack or a monthly plan; payments are processed by Dodo Payments. Current options:

An 8-second clip with sound costs 3 credits on Lite at 720p (about $0.64–$0.75), 10 on Fast at 1080p (about $2.13–$2.50) and 26 on Quality at 1080p (about $5.55–$6.49). The generator shows the exact credit cost before you click Generate. Full details are on the pricing page, and our cost calculator works out a whole project.

• Failed generations: credits are deducted when a generation starts and returned automatically if it fails.
• Purchases: our refund policy covers refunds on packs and plans (requests within 2 days of purchase, with less than 20 credits used).
• How long credits last: our terms guarantee every credit for at least 30 days from purchase. Check the terms before you buy a large pack for later.

When we are not the right choice

Per second of video, we cost more than Google’s own Cloud list price. What you pay for is skipping the Cloud setup, buying a small one-time pack instead of a subscription, and getting credits back on failures. If you already run a Google Cloud project and generate at volume, calling Google directly will usually be cheaper; our comparison of our API and Google Cloud sets out the numbers. We also offer only Veo 3.1 today. Other models you may see mentioned, such as Seedance 2.5 or Wan 3.0, are not offered on imaginary.app today.

Under our terms, all generated videos carry an embedded SynthID provenance watermark, and you need the rights to any real person your prompt or image depicts.

How we write our guides

Our guides, comparisons and prompt pages are written by the imaginary.app team and published under the company name. These are the rules we hold them to:

• Prices are computed, not typed. Our own credit costs and dollar ranges are computed from the same pricing catalog the generator uses, rather than typed by hand.
• Third-party facts are sourced and dated. Anything about Google, Flow or other providers links to the original page with the date we checked it.
• Examples are real. Prompts in our prompt library come from videos users chose to share in the gallery, quoted word for word, with the settings measured from the video files. Prompts we wrote ourselves are labelled as templates.
• No paid placements. No one pays to appear in or be ranked on our pages, and we don’t publish testimonials or ratings we can’t show you the source for.
• AI-assisted, fact-checked. Some drafts are prepared with AI writing tools. We check numbers and claims against their sources before publishing, and we correct pages when readers or reviewers find mistakes.
